Onboarding for hikers

Our onboarding day is our chance to show our young people their route, give them time to plot their map carefully before having it checked by our volunteers, and for both young people and parents to listen to a safety briefing ahead of the event.

Where and when?

Sunday 20th September at (TBC)

Pathfinder:
10am – 1pm

Pathfinder Plus:
1pm – 3:30pm

Explorer:
3pm – 5pm

Do I need to attend?

Yes, all members of each team need to attend the onboarding day to take part in Cheshire Hike. If a member of your team cannot attend and this cannot be avoided, please contact us at [email protected] to arrange an alternative.

If you haven’t yet downloaded our ‘Official Guide to Cheshire Hike’ or read through our new kit list, now is the best time to download these and get our young people prepared.

Should you have any questions, please head to our FAQs.

For all other enquiries, please email [email protected]. When contacting us, please bear in mind we’re all volunteers – we will respond as quickly as we can.
